Company profile

John Hilditch and Co was established in 1996 as a small independent agency specialising in the sale of residential homes - In 2002 our operations expanded to cover the specialist division of land and new homes and this was followed in 2003 when our residential letting and management company was formed.

The ethos of the company has always been based on quality rather than quantity, the staff we employ are all seasoned professionals each with at least 20 years of experience and our photography and brochure presentations have been with the aid of a professional photographer and printer.

The company has always embraced new technology and has recently installed the most up to date bespoke mailing system ensuring our vendors benefit from the widest audience for their property, a superb website high quality LED window displays and an interactive TouchScreen illustrates a commitment to stay ahead of the competition whilst still providing the friendly individual service which is so vital.

The company’s aim is to continue to thrive on repeat business and the huge volume of personal recommendations that we’ve always enjoyed.

Sales

John Hilditch FNAEA

Founded the company in 1996 and has a wealth of experience in residential agency. John commenced his career in 1984 locally, quickly moving to a large corporate agency. His knowledge of the area is second to none and he’s always available to discuss matters with clients, purchasers and prospective vendors.

Jordan Sheppard MNAEA

Started his Estate Agency career in 2003 and is a Member of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA). Jordan works closely with John, providing current and future clients with both marketing and sales advice for their property in addition to being heavily involved with the sales process.

Margaret Lowry

Has been in estate agency since 1995 and with John Hilditch & Co since 2001. With a wealth of experience in both residential and new build sales, Margaret oversees the sales process liaising with vendors, purchasers, lawyers and brokers ensuring things run smoothly.

Julia Dutton

Has been in Estate Agency and with the Company since 2002 and oversees the day to day administration of the business as well as being Johns PA.

Lettings

Nigel Liddle BA MARLA

Nigel created the Lettings and Management department in 2003 quickly building the Company’s profile within the local rental area. With years of experience in this sector, Nigel is able to advise landlords on all aspects of the rental market whether you are a new landlord or an experienced investor looking to expand your portfolio.

Nina Spilsbury BA MARLA

Nina joined the company in 2005. Having achieved the NFOPP Level 3 Award in Residential Lettings and Property Management, Nina is well placed to bring a commitment to the service of both landlords and tenants. She believes landlords deserve a property management team that looks after their most valued asset.

Melanie Donohue

Originally employed part-time in the Sales Department, Melanie moved to Lettings in 2014 and has become an integral part of the team.

Melanie looks after our managed properties with quarterly inspections as well as undertaking end of tenancy checkouts and liaising with landlords, tenants and contractors.
